Norwegian Police Case Study
Norway has only one police service which covers all 27 districts. With over 125,000 sq miles of remote and often inhospitable countryside to cover, they have a more difficult job to do than most. It was with this in mind that a project to build a special ‘mobile police station’ with full access to central databases was launched. The use of Sarian GPRS / EDGE routers, fitted to the mobile police station enables key suspect information such as names, addresses and fingerprints to be verified on the spot, regardless of how remote the location.
